How KY Deck Builders Started
KY Deck Builders started with a simple idea: treat people right and build decks that don’t cut corners.
Our founder grew up working on construction sites around Louisville and Southern Indiana. He learned the trades from old-school carpenters who cared more about straight lines than sales lines. Over time, friends and neighbors started asking him to “just build the deck the way you’d build it at your own house.”
That turned into a company—slowly, job by job, referral by referral. No big advertising push. Just solid work and word of mouth.

We serve homeowners within 50 miles of downtown Louisville, including Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt, Shelby, Spencer, Nelson, Hardin, Meade, Henry, and Trimble Counties in Kentucky, plus nearby Southern Indiana.
From tight city lots in the Highlands to wide open properties in Oldham County and farmhouses outside Bardstown, we’ve built decks on just about every type of site you can imagine.
